The Four Coins blend is quite different and offers a lot of fun and interest. With Cabernet Sauvignon as the dominant player, this gives a great backbone to provide support and structure for the other varieties to impart their store fruit flavours. Enjoy!

Vintage Notes
The 2022 vintage growing season was average. The 2021 winter was the wettest recorded since 1996. October and November saw rainfall totals above average. Together with a rainfall event in February assisted in refreshing up the vines leading into harvest. This vintage was filled with some highs and lows for the other growers affected by hail, for which we felt deeply.
Winemaker Notes
Colour: Dark red with garnet hue.
Nose: Sweet spice, dark red fruit characters and a touch of leafiness
Palate: An elegant structure with mouth filling red fruit characters. Touch of herbaceous and earthiness to give complexity.
Four coins is a unique blend of four grape varieties, which has become a hit with many. Cabernet Sauvignon to give it structure, Shiraz to add fruit fullness, Grenache just to just give it that little bit more and Merlot for sweetness. A fabulous food wine with great interest, we hope you enjoy something that’s just a little bit different.

Expovina Wine Trophy 2024 – Silver Medal.
A northern Barossa-sourced blend of cabernet sauvignon, shiraz, merlot and grenache, matured in French oak barrel for 18 months. Deep crimson with aromas of dark plum, cherry, blackberry and a blasty of raspberry along with hints of spice, dried meats, licorice, kirsch and earth. It's fruit pure and lifted with a bright fruit drive, bright acidity and gentle tannin sway, sailing off with a mix of spiced red and dark fruits. - 89 Points, Dave Brookes - Halliday Wine Companion
Deep red with a purple tint; the bouquet is reserved but cedary, with raspberry jam overtones and a whiff of volatility. This is a bit overripe but has plenty of flavour and the price is right. - 86 Points, Huon Hook - The Real Review
2020 Vintage Reviews
Sweet spices of vanilla pod mix with inky tones on this boldly-styled blend. Its presence on the palate is noted by its warmth and intensity. It's ripe, rich and packed with flavour, a perfect antidote for cold weather. - 88 Points, Gabrielle Poy- The Real Review
Northern Barossa-sourced cabernet sauvignon/shiraz/merlot/grenache, matured in French oak for 18 months. Crimson in the glass with fruit notes of satsuma plum, blackberry and boysenberry on a base of spice, purple flowers, licorice, light herbal flecks and vanilla. Medium bodied with a savoury palate shape, bright acidity and compact, sandy tannin support. A good bistro wine. - 88 Points, Dave Brookes Halliday Wine Companion
2019 Vintage Reviews
Mid red purple in the glass, with aromas of deep dark plum and blackberry fruit, framed by baking spice, dark chocolate, northern Barossa earth, violets, licorice and cedary oak. Medium bodied in the mouth, with a wash of dark and black fruits, abundant spice and redfruit highlights. Fine, sandy tannin provides support. - 86 Points, David Brookes - Halliday Wine Companion
Deepish ruby colour with brick and purple traces. The bouquet has a planky-wood overtone, and is fairly rough and ready. There's a touch of astringency: it might benefit from a bit more time in bottle. - 84 Points, Huon Hook - The Real Review
